We are located in Sangerville, Piscataquis County, in the heart of Maine, and are honored to be in the traditional homeland of the Penobscots.  We also feel gratitude for the previous owners of this property and the groundwork they prepared for us.  It's our hope that those who preceded us would approve of what we're trying to establish.

Both our farmstead and this website are works in progress.  They are expressions of our vision and aspirations, our efforts, our set-backs and successes.  As we develop our 16-acre farmstead, we plan to expand our annual garden, significantly add more perennial plantings, and integrate animals (furry and feathered), to develop an increasingly more fertile and productive food system.  We draw our inspiration from Permaculture, Keyline Design, Holistic Management, Restoration Agriculture, and other positive ways of interacting with "place" to increase its yield.  Our goal is to take responsibility for our own food production, while improving the land and producing a surplus that we can make available to our larger community.
